This project was a private Plan Change application to the Papakura District Council for a zone change of Takanini Area 6 from Future Industrial to Industrial. We began work in July 2011 and the application was heard in September 2011. The application was successfully granted, and the zone change was implemented.

The Project

• Preparation of reports and evidence on civil engineering matters
• Reviewing reports that had been previously prepared for the underlying structure plan and assessing them against the subject application
• Stormwater catchment and flooding analysis
• Stormwater management assessment
• Utility infrastructure supply and demand assessments

Challenges & Solutions 

• Reviewing reports and designs that had been prepared by others meant we need to significantly research the background and history of the underlying structure plan.
• To verify the requirements of the stormwater catchment management plan, we had to run in-depth analysis.
• This project also had a very short timeframe.
